Wildwood is Hume Lake’s discipleship camp for students who wish to push themselves beyond the familiar towards exceptional devotion to God. Stripping away the layers of falsehood and distractio, students glean from daily interactions and candid discussions about their lives, struggles, and answering God’s call for deeper devotion to Him. Set in the back forests of Hume’s property, Wildwood emphasizes overcoming obstacles and learning to discipline oneself in response to the challenges of life.

This summer, we have a group of mission-minded people heading to Ndola, Zambia where they will work alongside the students and faculty of Northrise University. This endeavor will utilize the various gifts and talents of people from all over the world as they join together to impact the community of Ndola in 2013.

Prayer Support

The most important thing you can do is pray. Pray our team readies themselves properly, obtaining passports, visas, vaccinations, and funding. Pray God will prepare the way for them and that they remain focused on Him and His purposes above all else. Pray for His protection, that He will strengthen them, and that they will be encouraged by and through the knowledge of your prayers. Pray they are able to communicate the message of Jesus Christ clearly and effectively and not offend anyone because of a  lack of cultural knowledge or language skills. Pray God gives them the grace to know how to respond to each person they meet. Pray for the people of Zambia, that God will also ready their hearts, now and in the months ahead. And finally, thank God for the privilege of serving Him and for the work He will accomplish through your prayers and in the lives of these people.

This summer we will join together for “A Weekend to Remember”, EPC’s last Tahoe Retreat. This will be a glorious time together as our church family reflects on the highlights of over two decades of fabulous scenery, games & activities, talent shows & dancing lessons, as well as time well-spent learning more about our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

This is sure to be a weekend to be savored! We’ll be blessed by encore performances by some of the East Parkway classics… Tim French Stand-Up Comedy, Bluegrass Brothers, and many more! We’ll also have a photo collage of pictures spanning many years of “Family Camp” retreats.
